Parivartan Cell is the official social responsibility and community engagement cell of IIM Kashipur, dedicated to creating meaningful social impact. Guided by its motto, “Health, Education, Environment,” the cell works to empower underprivileged communities through focused initiatives. It conducts teaching programs, donation drives, health awareness campaigns, and environmental activities that promote sustainable development. Throughout the year, Parivartan Cell collaborates with students, faculty, and external organizations to implement impactful grassroots initiatives. By encouraging active participation, empathy, and responsible leadership, the cell nurtures socially conscious individuals. It plays a vital role in strengthening community connections while contributing to holistic and inclusive development beyond the campus.

KITES

A holistic outreach initiative supporting nearby schools through education, health, and engagement programs, including teaching, donations, workshops, and career guidance, fostering overall development of underprivileged students.

  • Stationery Distribution Drive – Distributed notebooks, sketch pens, and essential stationery to 200 students, supporting their educational needs and encouraging creativity among government school students and children of construction workers.
  • Voluntary Teaching Sessions – Conducted interactive teaching sessions by IIM Kashipur students, enhancing academic understanding, building confidence, and fostering consistent learning support for children from nearby schools.
  • Fitness & Self-Defense Workshop – Organized workshops focusing on physical fitness and self-defense, empowering students with confidence, discipline, and essential life skills for personal safety and well-being.
  • Christmas Celebration – Celebrated Christmas with school children by distributing gifts and sweets, spreading joy and creating a memorable and inclusive festive experience.
  • Career Counselling Session – Conducted a session titled “Main Bada Hokar Kya Banana Chahta Hun”, guiding 50 students to explore career options based on their interests, skills, and aspirations.
Drives
  • Blood Donation Drive – Organized in collaboration with Vasudev Kuthumbakam, encouraging students and faculty to donate blood, contributing to healthcare needs and promoting a culture of social responsibility.
  • Blanket Donation Drive – Conducted a fundraising campaign to distribute 250 winter kits including blankets and essentials, providing warmth and relief to underprivileged communities in Kashipur and nearby areas.
  • Cleanliness Drive – Conducted under Swachhata Pakhwada, engaging volunteers in waste collection and awareness activities, promoting hygiene, civic responsibility, and long-term commitment toward maintaining a clean and sustainable environment.
  • Clothes Donation Drive – Collected and distributed donated clothes to underprivileged communities through NGO collaboration, encouraging reuse, sustainability, and compassion among students.
  • Skip a Meal – 479 students voluntarily skipped meals, enabling redistribution of saved resources to provide food for underprivileged individuals, promoting empathy and social consciousness.
Inter / Intra College Events
  • Article Writing Competition – Organized on the Unstop platform around the theme “Beyond the Blackboard: Learning That Can’t Be Graded”, encouraging students to express innovative ideas while fostering creativity, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of real-world challenges.
  • Run for Unity Marathon – Organized a 3 km marathon on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, promoting unity, diversity, and collective strength through enthusiastic participation.
  • Pitch Karo – Provided a platform for students to present impactful ideas across health, education, and environment, encouraging innovation, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial thinking.
  • Public Policy Discussion – Hosted an online discussion on “Street Vendors Policy in India”, encouraging managerial thinking, meaningful debate, and deeper understanding of contemporary public policy issues among students.
Other Events
  • Diwali Exhibition – Promoted eco-friendly celebrations through sale of handmade products in collaboration with NGOs, generating ₹25,000 while supporting sustainable practices and social initiatives.
  • Children’s Day Celebration – Organized fun-filled activities and competitions for children of faculty and staff, creating a joyful, engaging, and memorable experience.
