Biography

Dr. Shameem S is an Associate Professor at the Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli (IIM Trichy) with over a decade of academic and research experience. She previously served on the faculties of XLRI Jamshedpur, Great Lakes Institute of Management, and IFMR (Krea University), and has industry experience as an HR Officer at National Oxygen Limited. She has also held research positions at the Technical University of Munich, Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, and IFMR, Chennai.

She earned her Ph.D. from IIT Madras, where her thesis on employee–customer interaction and emotional labor received the Best Thesis Award at the National Academy of Psychology (2016). She holds a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology (Industrial Psychology) from Pondicherry University (Gold Medalist) and a B.Sc. from JIPMER (Gold Medalist and Best Outgoing Student).

Dr. Shameem has published in ABDC A* and A journals and Scopus Q1 outlets, and presented at leading conferences including AOM, BAM, and ANZAM. Her awards include Outstanding Paper Award (IIT Madras, 2023) and multiple Best Paper recognitions.
She teaches across postgraduate, executive, and doctoral programs and conducts MDPs on Strategic HR, Agile HR, Workforce Analytics, and Women Leadership.
