Flagship events like Shabdkosh, Abhivyakti, Du Coeur, Spoken Word Night, and the MBA1 VS MBA2 Debate not only highlight students' literary prowess but also foster camaraderie and healthy competition. These events serve as more than just platforms for showcasing talent; they are invaluable opportunities for students to network, learn, and grow as a group. Yearbook

The Literary Club collects information, designs, and delivers the Yearbook for every batch during the graduation ceremony as a token of remembrance and pride for the monumental years spent at IIM Kashipur.

Book Review Series

To ignite the passion for reading and to wake up the reader inside, book reviews of a few selected books are prepared by the club and shared with the students.

The Bookshelf - The Lit Club e-Book Repository

The Literary Club maintains an online book repository where readers can access more than 500 e-books on various domains. The club also provides an option to request e-copies of specific books through an online form.

The Literary Club’s Blog - LitAF

The Literary Club oversees a WordPress blog titled ‘LitAF’, where contributions from the IIM Kashipur community are published.

Abhivyakti

The Literary Club's premier Storytelling and Poetry Slam event, ‘Abhivyakti,’ is organised every year as part of Agnitraya. It fosters the spirit of creativity by providing participants an opportunity to display their poetry and storytelling skills. The event sees a tremendous response from all over the country every year, and finalists from across the nation arrive on campus to perform in front of eminent artists invited as guests. The Instagram sensations, Sourabh Yadav and Raghav Bhutani, graced the event last year, during Agnitraya X.

Shabdkosh

‘Shabdkosh’ is an engaging event designed to encourage students to broaden and showcase their understanding of vocabulary unique to the English language, simultaneously improving their non-verbal communication abilities.

Du Coeur - Right from the Heart

The pan-India poetry writing competition, ‘Du Coeur-Right from the Heart’, is an annual event conducted on the Unstop platform. The event aims to nurture creativity and encourages students to write poetry on a diverse range of topics, thus providing a creative outlet to budding poets of the nation.

MBA1 vs MBA2 - A Debate Competition

‘MBA1 vs. MBA2’ is an inter-batch (1st year vs. 2nd year) debate competition organised to help students hone their debating skills.

Perspectives

‘Perspectives’ is an inter-college event that provides an open platform for participants to express their views and opinions on a Geopolitical topic. It encourages students to stay abreast of recent happenings of the world and improve their group discussion skills, and the top performers are honoured with prizes.

Say It Like Kabuliwala

‘Say It Like Kabuliwala’ is a storytelling event organised by The Literary Club. The event aims to help students overcome their fear of public speaking and boost their confidence, thus enabling them to develop the essential skill of engaging storytelling. It is a battle of expression, presentation, and confidence.

Library Book Donation Drive

The Literary Club, in partnership with the Library Facility, organises a book donation campaign by collecting books from the students of the institute and supplying them to neighbouring institutes that offer management courses but are unable to procure books due to financial constraints. MBA1 and MBA2 students are encouraged to contribute to this noble cause by donating their books.
