Sports transcends all boundaries. It has the power to inspire and motivate people in a way that little else does and we are here to deliver that. Our team is dedicated to planning and executing a diverse range of sporting events catering to our student's interests and talents. From exhilarating tournaments to recreational activities, we strive to create opportunities for everyone to participate, compete, and excel.
As the Sports Committee of IIM Kashipur, we believe in the transformative power of sports. We understand that it's not just about winning games; it's about fostering a sense of unity, resilience, and leadership among our students. Our mission is to cultivate a vibrant sporting culture within the institute and beyond, where every individual finds their place to shine and grow. As stewards of sports equipment and resources, we ensure that our facilities are well-maintained and accessible to all. We manage inventory meticulously, from procurement to disposal, to support the evolving needs of our sporting community. In addition to our regular activities, we actively seek out strategic partnerships and collaborations with other institutions. This year, we are excited to announce our participation in prestigious events such as the Inter-Business School Sports Competition, where we will showcase the talent and dedication of our students on a national stage.
We are also proud to highlight our successful participation in the Inter-College Sports Competition at MDI Gurgaon. Not only did we compete with vigor and sportsmanship, but we also managed the travel arrangements and registration of all participants from our college, ensuring a smooth and memorable experience for everyone involved.

Events
Exhibition Matches:
The Sports Committee conducted various exhibition matches for the MBA1 students to familiarize them with the different type of sports available to them in the campus through playing against each other in sports such as cricket, basketball, table tennis, futsal, etc.
Mini-Marathon:
On the occasion of National Sports Day, the Sports Committee of IIM Kashipur conducted a mini marathon on August 29, 2023 covering the major portion of the campus. Both the first year and the second-year students of MBA and MBA (Analytics) along with PhD students participated in the event. The event was graced by the faculty to flag off the start of the event. The General Secretary and President of the student body awarded the top performers.
Chess-E-Thon:
The tournament was open to both the MBA1 and MBA2 batches and saw participation from 20+ students with boys and girls competing in the same pool. The games were conducted on the Lichess platform with participants being able to play the games online on their devices in the classroom. The tournament was conducted in the Swiss format with each player playing 6 games and then followed by semifinals and finals.
Prarambh 7.0:
To develop bonding between the senior and the junior MBA/MBA(Analytics) batch, different sport activities were organized. The MBA1 batch faced off their senior MBA2 batch decide on a winner. Win in each sporting event gives one point and whichever batch has higher cumulative score, the Prarambh Cup will belong to that particular batch.
Sangraam 7.0:
angraam is the major event of Sports Committee IIM Kashipur which aims at promoting collaboration and healthy competition amongst the batch. It is the battle among the different sections. It provides the exposure of intense competition as well as builds the bond among the students. The two batches collaborate as they come together and play for the pride and glory of their respective sections.
Agnitraya X:
In the tenth iteration of Agnitraya, the sporting event organized by the Sports Committee of IIM Kashipur, successfully hosted 13 inter-college competitions. The event drew participation from prestigious colleges like IIM Amritsar and MDI Gurgaon, all vying for a total prize pool of Rs. 2,00,000. The competitions encompassed a wide range of sporting disciplines including Badminton, Basketball for both men and women, Chess, Cricket, Futsal, Throwball, Volleyball for men and women, Pool in both singles and doubles formats, and Table Tennis.
KPL 10.0:
The Kashipur Premier League (KPL) is an annual event organized by the Sports Committee of IIM Kashipur. Inspired by the Indian Premier League, it offers students a platform to hone their managerial abilities in a competitive setting. Mirroring the IPL's auction system, students act as team managers, strategically using virtual money to acquire players. The KPL's 10th edition witnessed enthusiastic participation with 175 students involved in the player auctions. Throughout the competition, teams have consistently displayed high levels of dedication and competitive spirit. Underpinning all aspects of the KPL is the core value of sportsmanship, with "PLAY HARD, PLAY FAIR" serving as the guiding principle for the IIM Kashipur Sports Committee.
MDI SPORTS FEST- KING OF THE NORTH:
The Sports Committee of IIM Kashipur sent a contingent of 41 students to an inter-college competition hosted by MDI Gurgaon. The students participated in a variety of sporting events, facing off against teams from other colleges. Their performances were commendable, with some teams even reaching the final rounds of competition. These inter-college events serve to foster positive relationships and a spirit of healthy competition between IIM Kashipur and other esteemed institutions.
