Abstract: I use a nationally representative data-set from India to estimate the heterogeneous impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on individual income in different industries. The difference-in-differences estimates show that the impact varies across industries, and in the case of some industries there is no statistically significant impact of the pandemic on individual income. © 2022 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.
