Biography
Thasni T is an Assistant Professor in the area of Economics at Indian Institute of Management, Kashipur. She has worked as Assistant Professor in Economics and Business Environment area at IIM Bodhgaya. She is a Ph.D in Economics from Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode. She has completed the Ph.D coursework with the Outstanding Performer Award. Prior to Ph.D she completed her MBA in Finance and Operations. She worked for three years with Infosys Ltd as a Software Engineer. She is a UGC NET JRF in Management discipline. Her research areas are Structural Transformation, Growth and Development, Macroeconomics, Structural Transformation, Applied Microeconomics. She has presented papers in international conferences including Econometric Society’s conferences. She got the PAN IIM WMC Best Paper Award for one of her research papers.

- Participated in the first National Data and Analytics Platform (NDAP) Research Papers competition conducted by NlTl Aayog, lndian Statistical lnstitute - Delhi, and Omidyar Network lndia (The work has got acceptance in a B category Journal for publication.)
- Award for Best performance in PhD coursework in IIM Kozhikode (Highest Grade Scholarship) by scoring 3.81 out of 4.33 CGPA.
