About Details

The Infrastructure and IT Committee acts as a liaison between students and college administration, focusing primarily on infrastructure and IT-related matters. Its primary responsibilities include:

Hostel Facilities Management:

  • Ensuring safe, hygienic, and standard hostel facilities for all students.
  • Overseeing allocation and maintenance of infrastructural amenities within hostel premises while coordinating with 150+ staff members across areas.
  • Working with the security staff for ensuring campus safety and security measures are effectively implemented and maintained.

IIMinSync App Development

  • Development and Maintenance of a student-centric application (IIMinSync) providing features such as event updates, mess notifications, incident reporting tool, laundry details, college shuttle schedule, carpooling facility, term schedules, case competition community, and an online marketplace for campus services.

Automation Initiatives:

  • Automating routine tasks such as meeting room allocations, incident reporting, and resolution within specified Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

IT Facilities Maintenance:

  • Ensuring availability and maintenance of IT facilities including Internet connectivity, email services, incident management tools, and enforcing proper internet usage etiquettes in campus as per college regulations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborating with other student bodies for seamless event execution.
  • Supervising the maintenance and enhancement of the Gymnasium through repairs and procurement of new equipment.
  • Overseeing campus shops and Cafeteria to facilitate student needs.

Student Engagement and Communication:

  • Holding regular meetings with students and college administration to assess infrastructural issues and new requirements.
  • Coordinating with administration to ensure students receive optimal infrastructure facilities during their campus tenure.

Transportation Services Management

  • Ensuring the smooth functioning and availability of bus services by coordinating with transportation authorities, monitoring bus schedules, and addressing any issues related to bus routes or vehicle maintenance.
  • Optimizing bus service efficiency, ensuring that students have reliable transportation options for commuting to and from campus and other relevant locations.

The Infrastructure and IT Committee plays a pivotal role in enhancing the overall student experience by maintaining and improving essential infrastructure and IT services, fostering effective communication channels, and facilitating student engagement within the campus community.

The committee effectively organized the annual "Immaculate 2.0" event with the aim of showing gratitude and appreciation to the diligent staff members who contribute to the smooth operation of the college. Additionally, this event provided an opportunity to recognize and acknowledge the efforts of hostel workers, plumbers, electricians, and other staff members involved in the daily functioning of the campus.
