Biography
Jimut Bahan Chakrabarty holds a Ph.D. degree from the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode in the area of Quantitative Methods & Operations Management. Prior to joining IIM Kashipur, he worked as a full-time faculty at IIM Sambalpur and IRMA and as a visiting faculty at IIM Kozhikode. He did his Master’s in Applied Quantitative Finance from the Madras School of Economics and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Cotton College. Prior to joining academia, he worked as a Systems Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services Limited. His research interest includes designing life test sampling plans, characterization of probability distributions, applications of Machine Learning, applications of Game Theory, and sports analytics.
