Biography

Dheeraj Chandra obtained a Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, a Master of Technology in Industrial Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, and a Bachelor of Technology in Production Engineering from the G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology Pantnagar, Uttarakhand. Before joining the Indian Institute of Management Kashipur, he served as an Assistant Professor at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management Delhi. Following the completion of his Ph.D., he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Industrial and Management Engineering Department of Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur for about three years. Additionally, he worked for about two years as a Business Analyst at Genpact India following the completion of his master’s degree. His research interests include supply chain contracts, healthcare operations, optimization in operations management, multi-criteria decision-making. He has published research papers in international journals of repute such as Omega, Industrial Management & Data Systems, Expert Review of Vaccines. His paper published in Omega is among the Top 25 cited articles of 2021. He is passionate about research and teaching and enjoys designing and solving mathematical models. He is one of the few scholars in the country to work extensively on the topic of the vaccine supply chain to improve the child immunization rates.
