Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur was established in 2011 by the Government of India as an autonomous management institution (www.iimkashipur.ac.in). The institute has emerged as one of the leading management schools of India and secured 19th position in the NIRF ranking - 2023. The institute strives to create and disseminate knowledge through applied and interdisciplinary research and practices in emerging areas of management. The institute's goal is to be among the top management Institutes in India.

IIM Kashipur invites applications for the post of Director to lead the Institute in pursuit of excellence under the guidance of a highly distinguished Board of Governors. Applicants with an eminence in management education should apply. It is desirable that the candidate should have demonstrated leadership and administrative capabilities with unimpeachable integrity and transparency.

The applicant shall be a distinguished academic with a first-class degree in both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree levels and with a Ph.D. or equivalent from a reputed institute. The candidate shall have at least 15 (fifteen) years of teaching or research experience and shall have worked as a full Professor at a reputed institution for at least 7 (seven) years; or shall have industry experience at a higher level for at least 15 (fifteen) years. The candidate shall be an Indian Citizen or an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI). The appointment tenure and performance review will be guided by the IIM Act 2017 & IIM (Amendment) Act, 2023 and IIM Rules 2018, IIM (Amendment) Rules, 2022 & IIM (Amendment) Rules, 2023 and IIM Kashipur Regulations as applicable. The candidate appointed as Director shall hold office for the tenure of appointment on a contract basis for a period of 5 (five) years or till he or she completes the age of 70 (seventy) years, whichever is earlier.
