COMMUNITY OWNERSHIP APPROACH IN VOCATONAL EDUCATION HIGHLIGHTED BY IIM KASHIPUR FACULTY AT UNESCO FORUM
UNESCO, in collaboration with UNEVOC and Chengdu Provincial government (China) organized the 2013 Dujiangyan International Forum Skills Development for Rural Youths through ICT on October 25-26 in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China. The Forum focused on the youth and tried to explore the untapped human potential and develop a skilled workforcefor a nation’s social and economic prosperity has become highly urgent and critical.
IIM KASHIPUR FACULTY PROPOSES GENDER-CENTRIC CLIMATE CHANGE POLICIES IN AFRICA
Development stakeholders across the globe are confronting today a policy debate where gender issues related resulting from climate change are juxtaposed with the development strategies and the emerging development agenda in Africa should be more gender-centric.
To train and educate self-reliant and effective women managers, IIM Kashipur has included a compulsory Taekwondo training for PGP students. The training is imparted by a certified Taekwondo Coach from Sports Authority of India (SAI), Kashipur. IIM Kashipur is highly obliged to Mr. J Thomson, Director General and Ms. R. Govil, Regional Director, SAI for providing the necessary support.
IIM Kashipur at the Second National Knowledge Network (NKN) in Bengaluru
The Second National Knowledge Network (NKN) Annual Workshop is being held at Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore from 17th October to 19th October 2013 jointly by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. The workshop is attended by representatives from all major academic institutions across the country as well as overseas.
