Workshop on Sustainable Agri-Business Livelihoods in Uttarakhand – Prospects and Challenges
October 8-9, 2015
Venue: G B Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar

Objective:The objective of this Workshop is to explore the future prospects in agri-business livelihoods in Uttarakhand in the context of lived experience of, including the challenges faced by, various stakeholders.

Participants:Farmers, input suppliers, NGOs, government officials, and specialist organizations, including farmer producer companies (FPOs), primary agricultural cooperatives (PACs), SHG federations, scientists, academics and students involved in agri-business livelihoods in Uttarakhand.

Workshop Design:The workshop will have the following four aspects

  • Keynote addresses looking at the key concerns in promoting sustainable agri-business livelihoods
  • Learning from the Field: Experience sharing by stakeholders
  • Site visits to learn from some innovative programs of G B Pant University blending technology with agriculture
  • Actionplanningusing Future Search technology
