In each term, candidates will have to make two visits of 8 days’ duration. Combining preceding and succeeding weekends, candidates would need to take one work-week off for each campus visit.
While each course will have its own evaluation, at the end of all course work, a scholar will have to take a comprehensive examination (CE). Successful completion of CE marks the end of Phase I of the programme.
The second phase of the programme consists of Thesis work. It involves the following three stages: (i) development of thesis proposal culminating in proposal defense; (ii) thesis development – this will involve a half-yearly progress report presentation and a pre-thesis presentation before submission of the thesis; and (iii) thesis submission culminating in examination of thesis by external examiners. In addition, the EFPM programme also requires publication of at least two research papers in reputed journals to demonstrate scholarly competencies of the candidate.
DURATION OF THE PROGRAMME
The thesis should be submitted within 4 years from the date of registration, which may be extended by another one year subject to merits of the case and favorable review of work progress by the Research Committee.

The fee for the first year is Rs. 2.0 Lakhs, for second year Rs 1.5 Lakh and Rs. 1 Lakh for each of the following two years. The first year fee is to be payable at the time of the confirmation of the admission. In subsequent years fee is payable in the first week of July.
In case a scholar fails to submit the thesis work within stipulated four years from the date of the registration for the course and is given an extension by the EFPM Committee, there will be additional fee payable at the start of the fifth year.
